Mexican authorities have recovered a body from the waters of the Rio Grande near Camargo.

Tamaulipas State Police told Action 4 News that the report came in Wednesdy morning.

The body of an unidentified person was reported in the river east of the Rio Grande City-Camargo International Bridge.

Starr County Sheriff Rene Fuentes told Action 4 News that deputies were advised of the incident but the body was on Mexican side of the river.

Tamaulipas State Police were still at the scene as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.
