Local members of the TEA Party are planning a “Tax Day Protest” at a park across the street from Brownsville’s federal courthouse.

Organizers with the Tip Of Texas TEA Party told Action 4 News that the event is scheduled at Linear Park at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The park is located across from the Brownsville’s federal courthouse between East 6th and East 7th Streets.

Speakers include local talk radio host Sergio Sanchez, Corpus Christi-based talk show host Bob Jones and Dr. Lawrence Gelman.

The public is invited to bring signs against taxes.
