The Texas Attorney General is going after Casa Linda Homes for selling homes where they didn’t settle the deeds for the land.

Action 4 News first broke the story back in February 2009 when several homeowners in Olmito faced foreclosure.

Several reports followed since then but on Monday morning Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced his office was going after the McAllen-based developer.

The Attorney General's Office announced it had filed a lawsuit against the developer on Monday morning.

According to the lawsuit, Casa Linda is accused of targeting first-time homebuyers in the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio and Houston.

The company allegedly homes without clear titles or telling buyers about liens against the property.

If you believe you are a victim, contact the Office of the Attorney General online at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov or call toll-free at (800) 252-8011.
