Another top performer restaurant has fallen from grace after scoring a high number of demerits on a health inspection report.
New York Deli II in Harlingen is a low performer. The restaurant scored 26 demerits.
An inspector noted there were roaches throughout the establishment and rodent droppings in the storage area.
The Food Patrol questioned the violations, but a worker dished out straight up “sass” rather than straight answers.
