Woman crashes car into Mercedes post office

Police are investigating an auto accident where a woman crashed her car into the Mercedes Post Office.

Mercedes Police Chief Olga Maldonado told Action 4 News that the single-vehicle accident happened shortly before 11 a.m. Monday.

A cause of the accident is not known.

The woman's condition was not available.

The post office remains open for business but authorities blocked off part of the parking lot due to damage from the accident.
