Spanish speakers have another choice when flipping through channels on their TV's.
KGBT has partnered with the Atlanta, Georgia-based Mexicanal network to bring exciting new programming to the Rio Grande Valley.
Launched in 2005, Mexicanal was formed to meet the needs of a growing immigrant and Hispanic audience in the United States.
Mexicanal takes programming from partnering TV stations in 12 states in Mexico.
The network is shown on dozens of television stations across the United States.
Mexicanal announced on Monday that it will it mark it's fourth anniversity by adding new affiliates in Oklahoma City, Wichita, Kansas and the Rio Grande Valley.
KGBT-TV officially began airing Mexicanal on it's digital TV signal 4.2 at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.

The Valley is the 10th largest hispanic market in the United States -- serving more than 1.1 million people on this side of the border and another 2 to 3 million people in Mexico.
Mexicanal is only available in the Valley to digital TV viewers using a digital TV converter box.
Viewers who don't see Mexicanal, should go to the menus of their digtal converter boxes and choose "rescan".
