San Benito police are investigating two break-ins that happened early Monday morning.

The first burglary happened around 3:30 a.m. at the EZ Pawn on Sam Houston Street.

Police told Action 4 News that three masked men broke a glass door at the business and stole various pieces of jewelry, several games, game consoles and a large flat-screen TV.

Just a few minutes later, police said another pawn shop along U.S. Expressway 77/83 was also broken into.

But investigators said those would-be thieves couldn't get through the steel door.

Police are not sure if the two crimes are related but are asking the public for help in identifying the suspects.

Anyone with information on these break-ins is asked to call the San Benito Police Department at (956) 361-3880.
