BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS -- Two men arrested by Brownsville police for allegedly stealing coins from parking meters will be charged Friday.

A homeless man helped Brownsville police catch the men.

The man claimed he saw Johnny "Joe" Rojano destroying several meters on Jefferson Street.

Rojano is facing thirty counts of burglary.

A second suspect, Alejandro Zuniga, is believed to have been the driver transporting Rojano to each crime.

"Rojano was using a pipe," explained Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique.  "He was basically forcing the pipe between the two meter heads and then just pulling up on that pipe and getting access to the meter."
