Two men are facing a judge on Friday morning after they sparked a Thursday evening manhunt in Harlingen and Palm Valley.

Palm Valley police blocked off several streets while officers searched the area for the two men.

It all started with a traffic stop of a blue Chevy Tahoe on Stuart Place Road.

A police officer walked up to the SUV where two Hispanic men who were armed with weapons bailed out and ran off.

In the backseat of the SUV, authorities allegedly found an ice chest filled with five bundles with 15.14 pounds of marijuana.

Palm Valley Police Chief Paul Campbell told Action 4 News that a tip led police to a trailer off Bass Boulevard where authorities hiding underneath.

Chief Campbell said the two men did not want to cooperate but both denied having guns.

Both 34-year-old Jimenez and 31-year-old Luna are being arraigned in the Cameron County Magistrate Court.
