ALAMO, TEXAS -- A man from Travis County who is wanted for murder was caught in the Rio Grande Valley.
Travis Wayne Baczewski was arrested Monday.
U.S. Marshals traced him to a La Quinta hotel on Expressway 83 and Alamo Road in Alamo.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Baczewski after his mother was found dead in her home over the weekend.
"He's alleged to have murdered someone, so we took all precautions that we needed and took him without incident," explained Alamo Police Chief Arturo Espinoza. "We had the SWAT team available from San Juan and San Juan did a fine job in using their negotiators to talk to him and take him down."
According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, officers also confiscated a 2002 blue Infinity during his arrest.
The vehicle was reported stolen.
