Ahumada expected in court Monday

The pretrial hearing for embattled Brownsville Mayor Pat Ahumada is set for Monday.

Ahumada is accused of depositing a $26,139 city check into his personal bank account in October of 2008.

The check was issued to a company in New York named Tarisa Technical Industries.

The mayor has claimed the deposit was an accident and he maintains his innocence.
