With less people looking at buying homes in this economy the Housing Authority in Cameron County is urging people not to be afraid.

To stop this fear they hosted their 12th annual Home Ownership Fair in Brownsville today.

Families who attended were armed with information on grants and services available to help them buy their 1st or 2nd home With little or no risk.

"There are currently organizations that have grants that are being offered to either first time or second time home buyers. They need to take advantage of those resources...they're out there lets use them," said Irma Hernandez, VP Brownsville Chamber of Commerce.

The Homeownership Fair is held every June to celebrate home ownership month.
