Amber Alert issued for Hidalgo girl

HIDALGO, TEXAS -- Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a 4-year-old Hidalgo girl who was abducted from her front yard on Tuesday night.

Police identified Lesley Perez as the victim.

Investigators said she was playing her front yard when a 1990's White Ford F-150 Truck with Texas plate starting with "50" pulled up around 9:05 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses said a Hispanic male in his 30's, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 190 lbs with brown eyes grabbed the girl.

He was wearing a dark shirt and has spiked hair.

Authorites said Lesley is 3 feet 5 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

The child has a small scar over her right eyebrow and a birth mark on her upper leg.

She was last seen wearing lime green shorts and a green striped shirt, with a white collar and "Hello Kitty" earrings.

The truck was last seen headed east on Military Highway and then possibly north on Jackson Avenue.

Hidalgo Police Department sent out a telepype to all Rio Grande Valley police departments and international bridges.

But authorities did not release an Amber Alert until around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 911.
