Rio Grande City schools remain closed through Monday

Action 4 News has learned that Rio Grande City schools will remain closed for the rest of this week.

School district officials told Action 4 News that staff will be asked to return on Friday, May 8th.

Students will return to class on Monday, May 11th.

Rio Grande City CISD officials closed schools last week a precautionary measure.

Officials reported two swine flu cases in Starr COunty but there have been no additional cases since that time.
