HARLINGEN, TEXAS -- A Harlingen teen is trying to raise money to make his dreams come alive.

Action 4 News caught 19-year-old Chris Salinas and his friends washing cars near O'reily Auto Parts in Harlingen on Thursday.

Salinas is one of the few teenagers chosen to take part in the touring professional marching band, Revolution.

It travels across the nation every year.

"I had this dream since I started marching my freshman year and I want my dream to come true," said Salinas, a student at University of Texas-Brownsville.

Chris and his friends raised more than $100.

They plan to continue fundraising until they gather enough money needed to make the tour.
