VATICAN CITY -- The UTB/TSC master chorale group is in Italy, singing to the masses.

Monday night, the group from the University of Texas-Brownsville/Texas Southmost College performed in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican.

In all, 47 people from the Rio Grande Valley, including some parents of the students, are on the trip.

Tuesday, students are sightseeing in Florence before performing at the Teatro San Ramono with a local chorus group.
