BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS -- Dozens of people gathered at Hope Park in Brownsville on Saturday to collect signatures for a petition against the border fence.

This week, groups like CASA, along with students from the University of Texas-Brownsville will take their message to Washington, D.C.

For months now, they have been gathering to share their opposition for the border fence.

Students said they want Brownsville's voice to be heard in the nation's capitol.
