Man found dead on busy McAllen street

MCALLEN, TEXAS -- The McAllen Police Department is working a death investigation after a man's body was found on a busy street early Thursday morning.

The body was found along the 2200 block of Uvalde Street around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Officers believe the man may have been struck and killed by a vehicle.

Two people have been taken into custody as persons of interest.

Police have not revealed the identities of the people in custody.
