Hidalgo County deputy constables fight for civil service

Hidalgo County deputy constables told Action 4 News that they are fighting for new protection.

They claim the county is trying to exclude deputy constables from protection under the Civil Service Commission.

The county program protects workers with grievances.

Action 4 News attaned a county meeting where the issue was discussed but it was tabled.
