Brownsville family busted for drag racing

Brownsville police allegedly busted an entire family for drag racing on State Highway 48 on Monday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the mother and father watched and encouraged it all.

Police said Jose Rocha was in one car along with his 5-year-old daughter on 4900 block of State Highway 48.

Rocha allegedly began revving up to a car driven by his 15-year-old son.

Police said Rocha's wife was in the car with the couple's son.

An alleged race beteween the father end with police stopping both of them.

Authorities charged both parents because the their 15-year-old did not have a license or learner's permit.

Rocha was also charged with drag racing and endangering a child.
