The results of a medical study that will be released on Friday, October 31 will address two major health issues facing South Texas – diabetes and obesity.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio’s U.S. Hispanic Nutrition Research and Education Center is hosting it’s annual conference titled SWITCHING TRACKS: Diabesity Studies in South Texas.
It is from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. at the Regional Academic Health Center, which is located at 2102 Treasure Hills Boulevard in Harlingen.
The registration fee is $25 or a reduced $10 for students.
The fee includes refreshments and lunch.
The program features nine different research projects.
Health professionals, educators and the public are all invited to attend.
