A Brownsville man is behind bars after being accused in a series of sexual abuse allegations.
Brownsville police charged Rene Garcia, Jr. with aggravated sexual assault of a child on Tuesday.
Investigators are not releasing details about the case but jail records show Garcia is facing multiple charges.
The records show Garcia is also accused of continuous sexual abuse of a young child and indecency with a child by exposure.
Garcia remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail.
A judge issued a protective order to keep Garcia away from the child if he’s able to post bond.
