Man pins girlfriend to car in fight for baby

A fight between a couple ends with the arrest of a 48-year-old Harlingen man.

It happened on Sunday night on the 7000 block of South M Street

Ismael Losoya was taken into custody after he assaulted his girlfriend outside their apartment complex.

The victim told police that her boyfriend, Ismael Losoya, tried taking their baby away without her consent.

Their argument moved to the parking lot. Police said that is when Losoya grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and pushed her against a car.

Losoya fled the scene, but police were able to find him a short while later.

Losoya faces Assault Family Violence charges.

The victim refused medical attention.
