Harlingen city leaders hosted an annual holiday kick-off party at McKelvey park on Thursday night.

The annual celebration features entertainment, fun, food, and an appearance by Mr and Mrs Claus.

The lights will remain on at night through the New Year.

Action 4’s own Marcy Martinez helped throw the switch to light up the park.
