Two people, arrested by Harlingen police on Thursday, face prostitution charges.

Both suspects were caught on Van Buren Street by the police department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

Susana Aguilar, who has previous convictions for prostitution, was caught by an undercover officer.

The undercover officer was patrolling the area when Aguilar approached him and offered oral sex in exchange for money.

She was taken into custody and her bond was set at $1,000.

Adrian Arriaga was arrested an hour and a half later.

Investigators saw Arriaga go up to the driver of a truck, get inside and drive off.

An officer stopped the car in a nearby alley.

The driver of the truck said Arriaga was going to go look for girls to have sex with.

The driver said as they were going to go find girls, Arriaga offered to prostitute himself in exchange for money.

Harlingen police said the driver refused to have sex with him.

Arriaga was taken into custody and his bond was set at $750.

The driver was taken into the station for questioning, but was released with no charges.
