A registered sex offender was arrested after he failed to report where he worked.

Feliz Mendoza Jr. had been working at Valleys Gold Exchange on E. Tyler Ave.

He had been working there for one year and failed to report his employment status to the La Feria Police Department, as required by the Sex Offender Registration Program.

The program believed that the 40-year-old was unemployed.

Mendoza was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements.
