A Pharr man, wanted for aggravated assault, was arrested on Monday by U.S. Marshals.

On August 14, 2011, 30-year-old Omar Gutierrez Garcia confronted a man at the Alamo Flea Market and pointed a gun to the victim’s head.

Garcia violated his probation after he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest on September 11.

U.S. Marshals received information that Garcia was staying at a home on E. Del Norte Circle in Pharr.

On Monday, officers saw Garcia leaving the house in a Ford Expedition with a female driver.

Members of the GCVOFTF team were pursuing the vehicle when the suspect and the driver led them on a high speed chase.

Road spikes were laid out on the road to stop the Expedition.

The driver was identified as Lori Ellis Casiano.

Garcia and Casiano were both placed under arrest and taken to the Alamo Police Department.

Casiano will be charged with attempted capital murder by San Juan PD.

The GCVOFTF is a team comprised of law enforcement officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office, Starr County Sheriff’s Office, McAllen P.D., Mission P.D. San Juan P.D., Weslaco P.D., TDCJ Office of Inspector General, Texas Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
