It’s the last day to cast votes and the message is clear all around the country. Get out and vote.

Congressman Hinojosa said he wants to take his message to Washington and the Capital.

"We want there to be a bigger investment in state and federal monies coming into our region, in deep south Texas, which has grown in over 48 percent in the last decade," said Hinojosa.

Hinojosa said voting has increased just over 56 percent in the two week early voting period and adds, that he expects big things to happen in this historic elections.

The 15th district, Incumbent Ruben Hinojosa is running against Republican candidate Dale Brueggemann.

Hinojosa told Action 4 News that believes he will be celebrating tonight.
