An estimated 50 children from Brownsville will have the opportunity to receive a full screening, cleaning and new toothbrushes in an upcoming event.
On Friday, Feb. 1st, Dr. Tara Rios and her staff will volunteer and give children the opportunity to receive dental services and information in order to have knowledge on how to obtain good dental hygiene habits.
Dr. Rios joined Action 4 Sunrise on Thursday, Jan. 31 to discuss the upcoming event.
It will take place at 1601 E. Alton Gloor Blvd. Suite 108 in Brownsville.
This will be the 10th anniversary of the American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Day. February is actually National Children's Health Month and her office wanted to be a part of the nationwide activity.
The goal of the event is to provide service to as many children as possible. Anyone who would like to take part are being asked to register by calling Dr. Rios' office at (956) 542-1956.
