Pharr Texas has over 70,000 residents, but one in particular has accomplished something most people can only dream about.

Andrea Sanchez celebrated her 105th birthday.

"I was born in Mexico on November 10, 1907," Andrea said. "I remember when (my parents) brought me over here. But I think I was 9 or 10-years-old. "

Andrea is the third oldest of 12, and along with her sister Mary, they are the last two living of their siblings. She has never been married or had kids.

"I didn't get married because I never got the chance," said Andrea.

She still remembers when Pharr was nothing but fields of oranges and grapefruits and what life was like with no running water and living without electricity.

"When we came over here, we didn't have electricity," said Andrea. "We used candles. And when we cooked, we used wood, woodstoves."

And the secret to living a long happy life, she said, is not eating or drinking something specific.

"You just need to take care of yourself," said  Andrea. "And don't do anything bad. "
