The Humane Society of Harlingen is finding itself in a bit of a financial mess this week.

The city faced a real possibility of being left without a shelter as a result of their financial situation.

Manager Frank Quiñones stopped by Sunrise to go into more detail of the problems they are facing and how you can help.

The mayor and shelter board president are now calling on voluntary support from the community.

 

Pet of the Week: “Lady"

The Harlingen Humane Society also featured "Lady" a 3 ½ month old Cocker Spaniel mix during this week’s Pet of the Week segment.
