There are many people here in the Rio Grande Valley looking for a perfect place to head outdoors and enjoy a great time with their family.
If you're one of them, you can do that and listen to amazing music while enjoying delicious food at the annual Onion Fest in Weslaco! It's all happening at the Weslaco City Park on 300 N. Airport Drive.
Miss Onion Fest, Sarah Johnson, and Weslaco Chamber of Commerce President, Martha Noell, joined Action 4 Sunrise to fill you in on all the festivities.
Onion Fest is going on this weekend, March 23 and 24, and will include plenty of entertainment on multiple stages for families to unwind. Featured entertainment include: Solido, Bobby Pulido, Maria d 'Luz, Rene Sings Elvis, Zereno, Oscar Munos, Raymond Orta and so much more.
On Saturday, March 23, the event kicks off at 10 a.m. with the Weslaco High School Mariachi Pantera at the Magic Valley Electric Texas Stage. Gate admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
On Sunday, catch the excitement begin at 12:30 p.m. with musical guest, B-4. Kids 12 and under are free on this day.
