Black Friday shoppers hit stores across the nation to get to their favorite items at a great price.

This year many retailers opened their doors earlier than usual hoping to jumpstart the holiday shopping season.

Here in the valley it's was no different.

Hundreds gathered at the McAllen Best Buy on Jackson St. Thursday to score bargains on electronics, especially TV’s and tablet computers.

Among some of the best deals were a 40 inch Toshiba TV for $179.99 and hundreds of new DVD releases that were priced under 10 bucks.
