Authorities confirm that they have made an arrest for a drive by shooting that took place in a neighborhood blocks away from Harlingen High School South.

Harlingen police arrested Samuel Leal-Rivera Garcia attempted murder and engaging in criminal activity charges on Sunday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Garcia is one of the suspects in connection to a Valentine's Day drive by shooting off Adrian Street.

Deteceives believe that Garcia took an active role in planning the attack.

A security guard posted at the home injured his shoulder while exchaging gunfire with the suspects.

Police said the Garcia is not cooperating with investigators but officers are still searching for the other suspects.

The homeowner reportedly hired security guards because of a threat to kidnap her children.

Details were not immediately available about Garcia's arrest but jail records show he also had an unpaid traffic ticket with the City of Harlingen.

Garcia remains behind bars under $370,000 dollars in bonds.
