50-year-old struck by car after trying to run across street

A 50-year-old was hit by a car in San Benito on Thursday.

The auto pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Business 77 and Mc Culloch Road.

According to San Benito Police, the 50-year-old was running across Business 77 when he was struck by a 2001 Chevy Malibu.

The 34-year-old driving the Malibu stopped and rendered aid.

The man struck by the car was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center. His condition remains unknown.

The driver is not facing any criminal charges at this time.
