An intoxicated man crashed his car into a family’s Nissan Pickup and Chevy Camaro and tried to get away.

San Benito Police were able to arrest the man after he was caught at a nearby Stripes Convenience Store.

The family told police they were sitting in their living room when they heard a loud crash outside their home.

When they went outside to check, they saw a red pickup truck had struck their two cars.

The driver of the red truck attempted to get away, but the homeowners and a neighbor called authorities and followed him.

The suspect, identified as Rollie Medrano, was taken into custody for Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle.

Officers noticed he had blood shot eyes, slurred speech and odor of alcohol emitting from his breath.

At the police station, the 25-year-old failed a sobriety test and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Police also noticed he had a warrant for his arrest out of Victoria County for Failure to Pay Child Support charges.

His bonds totaled $17,500.
