Several suspects are behind bars after being linked to at least two robberies where they used "Friday The 13th"-style hockey masks during the crime.
The group is accused of robbing one drive-thru beer bar in Donna and another in Weslaco.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the armed suspects.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño said deputies with his aggravated robbery task force were able to identify seven suspects involved the crimes and make arrests.
Sheriff Treviño said deputies are investigating to see if the suspects have been linked to other crimes.
Treviño said he is considering making the aggravated robbery task force a permanent addition to the sheriff's office.
