Officials temporarily evacuated a charter school in Pharr after a student threw a white power at office workers.

It all happened at the Premier High School at 200 E. Expressway 83 in Pharr around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Pharr firefighters told Action 4 News threw a white substance into the school's administrative office.

Officials evacuated the school as a precaution while authorities cleared the scene.

Investigators said the white powder turned out to be baking soda.
