Norteño musician Ramon Ayala is moving his annual Christmas posada to Pharr.

The award-winning artist made the formal announcement at a press conference on Tuesday morning.

Ayala has held the annual toy giveaway and concert for the past 12 years in the City of Hidalgo where he lives.

The annual show draws thousands from both sides of the border.

But Ayala said he now wants to move the event to spread the Christmas spirit across the Rio Grande Valley.

The family-friendly event is being held on Wednesday, December 19th at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church off South Cage Boulevard in the Las Milpas area of Pharr.

Hundreds of toys are expected to be given away to needy children with a series of FREE concerts to follow.

The show follows the December 11th release date of Ayala's first album in five years time.
