Home completely destroyed after fire in Progreso

A home in Progeso was completely destroyed after a fire broke out Saturday morning.

Progreso Police Department and Weslaco Fire Department responded to the home on the 1000 block of Fresno Dr.

They received the call about the fire at around 5 a.m.

According to authorities, the home did not have any electrical problems.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported and fire marshals are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
