Suspect is also wanted in federal drug case in San Antonio

He was once considered one the Top 10 Most Wanted in Texas but now he's headed to three years in prison for a Spring Break stabbing on South Padre Island.

Felix Velasquez, Jr. appeared before Judge Migdalia Lopez with the 197th State District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Added to the docket at the last minute, the Mexican Mafia member entered a guilty in an aggravated assault charge in connection to the March 2012 stabbing.

Judge Lopez sentenced Velasquez to three years in prison for his role in the crime.

Velasquez, who goes by the nickname gang nickname "Fat Boy,"  is listed as one seven members of the Mexican Mafia named in a federal drug trafficking case in San Antonio.

The group is accused of using handguns and assault rifles to traffic methamphetamines and heroin in the San Antonio area.

Federal court records show that Michael Rangel, who is also accused in the stabbing of Madrigal, is also named in the drug trafficking indictment with Velasquez.
