A Weslaco man is behind bars after he allegedly raped a 12-year-old boy he met on a dating website.

McAllen Police arrested 32-year-old George Tinoco on an aggravated assault of a child charge over the weekend.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Tinoco remains in custody under a $100,000 dollar bond.

Court records show that Tinoco met the 12-year-old boy on the dating website Zoosk back in August 2012.

The two allegedly kept in touch through Facebook and a cell phone.

Tinoco met the boy at La Plaza Mall in McAllen and took him ot the Vali-Ho Motel off Business 83 in Weslaco back on December 9th.

According to an affidavit, the boy alleges that Tinoco sodomized him.

The boy later made an outcry to his step mother on New Year's Eve prompting an investigation.

Records show that the boy was given an medical examination but the results showed he had no injuries.
