Wood carving is not only an intricate craft; it also requires lots of artistic skill.
The 27th annual RGV Wood Carvers show is fast approaching, and Action 4 Sunrise got the chance to interview Fred Stenman, president of the Rio Grande Valley Wood Carvers, about the event.
Stenman showed examples of a few different types of wood carvings that people will see at the show, and explained the process of creating a masterpiece from a simple block of wood.
Booths will be set up with hundreds of different wood carving exhibits at the show.
It will take place at the Cielo Banquet Hall in San Juan on January 18th and 19th.
