It's that time of year again to dust off those boots (If you haven't put them to use) and head on over to the biggest event in the Rio Grande Valley.
The 74th Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo is coming back to Mercedes beginning March 8 through the 17th, bringing great food and entertainment to families across the valley.
Action 4 Sunrise received a visit from the Cover Girl finalists on Thursday morning, telling you what to expect from this year's event.
Cover Girl, Gabrielle Cuadra, has the honor of representing the livestock show this year along with the four runner ups.
Billy Currington will kick things off on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m., with an energetic show that is sure to sell out.
As always, the event will bring out the best food around. From roasted corn, onion blossoms, turkey legs, funnel cakes and fresh lemonade, there is something there to fit any appetite.
