IHOP is once again raising funds for local charities through National Pancake Day, with a goal in 2013 to raise $3 million across the country.

Are restaurants are raising funds for Shriners Hospitals, and Gilbert Medina stopped by Action 4 Sunrise to tell you all about it.

On Tuesday, February 5, 2013, IHOP will give away millions of free pancakes to guests at their restaurants.

Each guest will be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to a local charity while dining in that day.

This is the eighth year of this event and IHOP hopes to raise $3 million with its National Pancake Day celebration.

If they can reach that mark, it will bring their total amount of monies raised for local charities to more than $10 million in eight years.
