A Harlingen High School South football is player is being looked at by doctors after he walked away from a rollover accident.

The accident happened on Tamm Lane just north of Expressway 83 around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Galvan walked away from the accident without any visible injuries.

Grandmother Frances De Leon arrived at the scene minutes after the accident.

She said Adrian Galvan was headed to a teammate's house when lost control of his car and hit a utility box.

"He says he didn't wanna hit a dog," De Leon said. "He spinned and looked what happened to the car. But I'm thanking God right now that he's fine that there's nothing wrong with him."

De Leon said the accident is expected to be covered by her insurance.

Paramedics took Galvan to a local hospital for evaluation as a precaution.

Doctors will decide if he will be medically cleared to play in Friday night's game against the Brownsville Veterans Chargers.
