For months Janie Villegas held her head high.

She would only shed a tear here and there as she remained strong for her family.

"Saturday was the toughest day for me," Villegas admitted through tears.

This past Saturday was her son Antonio ‘Tony’ Villegas 21st birthday.

Janie said she always thought he would be home by now---but he was not and she was forced to celebrate the special day without him.

"Tony keeps me going,” Janie started. “Just knowing that he's out there we need to keep going and searching. We're determined. One way or another we're going to find Tony."

On August 21, 2011 ‘Tony’ Villegas disappeared.

Seven months later, Mission Police continue their investigation.

They told Action 4 News they still do not have a solid lead on his case.

Janie said she will never give up. She said, one day, her son will come home.

If you have information on the whereabouts of ‘Tony Villegas call Mission Crime Stoppers at (956) 581-8477.
