Attorney Marc Rosenthal has taken the stand in his own defense during his racketeering trial in Corpus Christi.

Defense attorneys first called Rosenthal to the stand late Thursday afternoon.

The Austin-based attorney maintains his innocence in the “cash for court favors” scandal involving former 404th State District Court Judge Abel Limas.

Rosenthal is disputing testimony from Limas and other witnesses called to stand by prosecutors.

The trial, now in its 13th day of testimony, is being held in Corpus Christi after U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen granted a change of venue.
