A U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent has found himself behind bars for a third time this year.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Stephen Michael Rossello in San Benito on Tuesday afternoon.

Both Harlingen police and deputy U.S. Marshals participated in Rossello's arrests.

Details were not immediately available but Rossello is beind held at the Harlingen City Jail.

Jail records show the ICE agent is in custody for a "bond surrender."

Rossello was out on bond for two prior arrests involving stalking his ex-girlfriend.

Court records show Rossello is facing a criminal trespass charge in Cameron County Court At-Law Number 1.

Rossello was an ICE agent but according to a lawsuit he filed in federal court, he was stripped of his badge and given a desk job.

ICE officials said he worked as an intelligence assistant in their Harlingen office where he was placed on leave following his first arrest.
