A Harlingen man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly got a 15-year-old girl pregnant.

Cayetano Ybanez surrendered to police on Monday morning.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the 21-year-old man is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the girl.

Police said the girl’s mother came forward with the allegations in December when she learned that the 15-year-old was pregnant.

Authorities issued a warrant prompting Ybanez to turn himself in on Monday.

Bond information was not immediately available but police said Ybanez remains in custody.
